FREMTIDSTANKEN
This was a 9 weeks project in collaboration with Catalysts and Designit to reimagine the career course in middle school. The design process included interviews, analysis, co-design, prototyping and development of service system interventions. The focus of the course was to work with different service design approaches and critically reflect on service design methods. Being young in middle school is a period in life when you feel a lot of pressure about finding identity and exploring future paths. In the 21st century, access to the relevant and up to date information about professions becomes very important, in order to create broader understanding of lifestyles and working cultures. On the other hand the teachers having the career course today feels that they carry a lot of responsibility within a field they don’t always have the right or enough competence within. Fremtidstanken creates a space where students can receive informative, helpful, and empathic answers. Together with Catalysts they can find the right connections in a network of relevant people, such as high school students, university students and workers from different professions. Fremtidstanken aims to give students a broader understanding of lifestyles and educations. The vision is to connect professions and the educational system in Norway, to establish a multidisciplinary working culture.
